Lathyrith started from what was curiosity and what I felt at the time was a necessity. One day I had come home to find my husband rerouted our shower water to the back yard to our garden. In all honesty, I never really looked at the ingredients in my soap before but knowing it was going to my vegetables really made me think (I really should have been concerned when it was flowing to the ocean as well). I started pouring over label after label reading and researching ingredients to only find so many of them were not necessary for the soap to be functional and that really were not that good for your skin or the planet. So I started making soap and I really loved it. My mission is to make something functional, beautiful, skin loving and better for the planet.
